One year anniversary! Day #13

It’s been exactly 1 year since we have ended our first Campus 15 adventure, and many will agree that this day was the best day of both Campus 15 aswell as the reunion. We knew that we were going to Osijek later this day, and it got everyone as hyped as possible. First, after the breakfast which was so mild and average I cannot even remember it at this point, we have visited the Centre for people with mental disabilities here in Vukovar. Given that none of us really had any experience with such persons whatsoever, it was a new and a somewhat eye-opening experience to say the least. The people there were coming from very different backgrounds, were of very different age, and all had different problems, problems that made us appreciate and be grateful to the fact we don’t have them, aswell as making us grow respect for those people who are fighting their own battles each and every day. They were pretty interesting and fun to hang out with aswell, and we made some decoupage and played sports with them.
After the lunch most of us were not amazed with to say the least, the ‘’field trip’’ could begin! At first, we went to the Evangelistic faculty in Osijek, where we have had a presentation about Civil education, education in general, aswell as its importance in today’s world.

When that was done with, we had a couple of hours of free time, which we can say were used in a highly effective way. Most uf us had a lot of fun, some went shopping, go-kart, visiting Osijek’s famous places etc. After amazing time we spent together, we went to the restaurant in village near Osijek called Dalj. We had a great meal and we enjoyed our time there.

Rainy day… Day #12

The weather was cold, and as much as we thought it would be cosier, it wasn't . The rain changed our plan of visiting Park - Forest Adica so we stayed in the dormitory. Most of our morning we spent in free time. Ljubisa and Domagoj made it more fun ith the idea of filming each of us talking about the camp. We have never experienced film -making while it was raining. We were afraid of stepping in front of the camera so we don' t actually remember what we said. We think it will be funnier after some time. Our afternoon was special because some participants got the opportunity to be teamers for the rest of the day. They had to plan our time and fil it with the programme of their own. Our first workshop was about motivation and fears. As many of us requested , we had  a lot of free time. They placed us in our last year's element groups where we had small talks. Our day finished with movie night.  Sone of us used it as sleeping time and some for relaxation . Our mini teamers had only 1 and a half our to think of the programme so we were really pleased with an awesome work they had done.  Although many of us expected that rain will ruin our sunday it didn't. We got refreshment and an amazing day to write about. More from us in the following days!

Social project. Day #11

It was finally the day for us to start our social project. We didn't know what exactly we were going to do, so we were all excited and ready for new challenges. After breakfast, teamers informed us about trip to Adica - a nearby forest where we planned to do some voluntary work.
When we came there, we found out that we had to do several tasks. They split us into 3 different groups - environmental cleaning, painting and sandpaper cleaning.  At the beginning not all of us agreed to do the job that we were supposed to do, but very soon we all found out that you can find something satisfying in every single job. The time there passed quickly . We couldn't wait to come back home and rest for a little. We had great time there - the weather was great, the company even better and we all did something useful. We came back to the dormitory for our dinner. After dinner, new program was waiting for us. One of the hotel concept workshops was disco night. We had a lot of fun while dancing and singing and we can't wait for the next party.

The voluntary work is the best kind of work! Day #10

Hello everybody and welcome to our 10th day of Reunion 2017!
The day started so early when the teamers woke us up at 7:40 so everyone would be on time for the breakfast. After breakfast the teamers told us to wear comfortable shoes because we had to walk to the place where we were going. At 9.00 everyone was ready and we started our “journey” . We went to a place near the Danube river. Then Boźo explained to us that in that place has been the generation of 2013 of Campus15 and everyone felt so excited to be there. There we found some signs like Campus15's and European Union flag. Our task was to clean up that place because there was so dirty and you barely could see the paintings on the walls. The teamers gave us brushes and shovels so it would be easier for us to complete our task. When we were done the place looked like it was reborned and Boźo and Iga thanked us for the job that we did as they were the participants of the Reunion of 2013. After it, we looked so tired so the teamers gave us free time so we could take a shower and relax. In the evening, after dinner we took a group photo and after it we had Do It Yourself groups, which was the last DIY meeting .That’s it from us today!

Back in time - Day #8

Today we had a captivating and educative day. After spending a whole week in the beautiful city of Vukovar it was about time we learn about the hard times it went through.
At first we visited "The memorial center of 90's war". There we were welcomed by a major who also showed us around. He took us to an improvised minefield. We had the opportunity to see all kinds of mines that are used during war. Sadly some of them can still be found around so we learned about the importance of knowing how to stay safe. Continuing our visit we were fascinated from the old airplanes, ships, automobiles and tanks. The best part was that most of them were handmade from the people of Croatia with the materials they could find. Luckily we were allowed to take pictures inside so we can save the memories forever.
Next we entered the musem called "The Day After" . It was filled with pictures of wounded soldiers. They were really painful and some of us couldn't help the tears. That was a powerful message that showed that wars leave scars that last for a long time. From the musem we went down to a basement that was filled with objects belonging to the people who faught in the war and also different kinds of homemade weapons, old pictures and stories. It felt like a piece of the past was in front of our eyes.
Right after that we went to  the memorial site Ovčara. It was a memorial for the 261 persons who were killed and tortured. Their pictures were all over the walls and they faded and brightened with time to symbolize that they are gone but live in memories. In the middle of the room there was a spiral with the victims names that went to an eternal light. It was a touching experience for all of us.

When lunch time came we went to Adica. We had an amazing lunch under the shadow of the trees and spending out free time around the forest.

Reliving the history - Day #4

After 5 days of unbearable heat we have finally woken up with temperature under 30 degrees. International Youth Day was a great time to present our work and things we do in the camp. We decided that we will celebrate it in the Public Library in Vukovar. We had headed to the public bus to go to city centre. We arrived to the Library where the librarian and the mister from local government welcomed us. We prepared a  live program for campus15 Facebook page. Hashtags were once more our main focus point. After that Sladjana gave us a task- treasure hunt including photos of famous places in the city. We had several groups and every one of us was in charge for taking a selfie in front of landmarks. Our prize was our lunch next to Danube.  It was a nice change to finally bbe outside and enjoy the sound of breeze . As another task we had an energizer with teamer Luka. Being ninjas kept us starving for 30 minutes. After great view and good lunch we went to the  City museum of Vukovar. We saw that we are going to have great time because of an amazing tour guide. He allowed us to go wherever we want tbased on our interests so everyone found something for themselves. Before entering the museum we passed the hallway and our tour guide gave  us an idea to sit for a little while and talk about things that we are really interested in. There was a big piano in the corner of the room so Fabian decided to play it and show us what he knows. Even though we liked the cold weather, the storm was coming so we decided to come back to dormitory. We spent the rest of afternoon playing game (ne znam kako se ta igra tocno zvala) with Luka thinking about how not to kill innocent villagers. Our day ended with Ljubiša's workshop - talking about apocalypse survival. We were really tired after this long day so we all went to sleep right after our program.

Play day? Reunion Day #9

We all agreed, that today was one of the best days of the reunion so far. It all started with pizza for breakfast (some found it great, some found it...). A discussion of the Camp treaty followed. After that, we had to get ready for our trip to an island on Danube. We took the bus to Vukovar and went on to buy different stuff there, such as ice-cream or food. After half an hour that we had for shopping, we took the bus to the river side and from there we had to travel to the island by boat.

While reaching the island we all felt like in paradise; sand everywhere, trees making a shade, a bar and most importantly - a beach volleyball field. Before we ate lunch, we had a presentation of national food which we all preferred over the lunch. In the evening, we all had to leave the island again with boats, happy and in a good mood. We reached the dormitory for dinner and after the dinner we had element groups, and in the end of the day a great movie most if us sadly slept through, but as a person who didn't I can say the movie was awesome. All in all a great day!

A ''day off'' - Reunion Day #7

Waking up to Tom's music: what a start of such a beautiful day. After a surprisingly good breakfast we had a workshop in which we were divided into 6 groups. Three themes on the plate: "Privacy issues", "Relationships & social media" and "Facebook pressure". Two scenarios to each - good one, and of course the bad one.

Every group had to make a sketch in which they presented the given problem. And we all laughed at Luka sending nudes or Ania being drunk, aswell as Vasilije approaching his inner female and becoming Vaska... But the point was clear in the end, after discussion: these problems excist and we shouldn't ignore, but try to resolve them. We were helping each other raise awareness concerning these 3 topics and we enjoyed doing it.
The rest of the day could be easily described with just a single word: CHILL.

The whole group had an already-paid visit to the pool. Playing with the ball, tanning, jumping into the swimming pool or simply eating ice cream made us all feel refreshed. Three and a half hours there were relaxing but nowhere near enough...
We had a group of teamers who where responsible for evening activities and they did the best job - scavenger hunt was a good idea. Again divided, but this time with teamers by our side, we ran from station to station all around Borovo doing tasks (both for the body and mind). The winner (in this case - Nikola's team)

Mentally exhausted - Reunion Day #6

Oh the sweet, sweet sound of Dr Dre's and Snoop Dogg's ''Still'' as Tom approaches your room and begins dancing once he's inside. It's the sound of having to wake up once you're good for nothing at 8 in the morning.
It's also the moment you realise that the next thing you'll do is eat campus food... Which is never good. Sometimes you become surprised, and realise that it's edible for a change! This was not one of the occasions.
After that, we had a workshop about what peace means to us, where we were discussing topics that were quite demanding for us, given we had just woken up at the time. We were split into groups, where we had discussed Europe's current peace threats. It ended up being quite successful, and everyone had a word on it.
When that was done with, after the lunch (which was as amazing and energetic as the breakfast!), We've had Stress management workshops, where we had talked about ways of dealing with stress, and the occasions it arrives in. In a relatively stress-free environment such is the reunion, it made us remember what life is like outside... Made us want to use this time as much as possible J
When that over, we had our VU (read with enthusiasm!) groups, dinner (same old story) and DYI groups, where we've had the daily evaluation, aswell as progress with all of the DYI groups, as everyone was getting the hang of it.
In the end, we had the time to spend for ourselves, creating more memories...
See you next time! Xoxo

The kisses of death: Reunion Day #5

As usual, we woke up around 8 to hit the kitchen and get some food. Our day started at 9 when we had a workshop about our emotions with Božo. We discussed about our approach to people and how to start a conversation. We were talking about everyday psychological problems that we all face. It is not simple to start a conversation and to include your and other people's emotions. Every single day we are becoming more aware of the importance of being a good listener. We finished around 11. We were enjoying our free time when Luka and Tom presented  a new game to us. It is called Kiss and Kill. You have to kill a person who is written on the sheet of paper by kissing her/him.  Nobody who is alive can see you. It goes in circle because you have to give the paper to your assasin . It kept us busy for quite some time.  Later on, we were split in our DIY groups -Facebook/blog , Dance, Handcraft and Newspaper. After lunch we had element groups where we expressed our feelings about that day and all that passed by. Finaly, we  had our DIY groups where we planned our schedule and programme. After dinner , our new teamers -our participants, prepared us Childhoodgames night. We enjoyed in Dodgeball and Matches because they kept us pumped and tense - and ready for bed, luckily for our teamers. Till tomorrow!! Stay tuned!

VU Groups! Reunion Day #3

Hello everybody and welcome to our 3rd day of Reunion 2017!
Our day started just as the first two days. We ate breakfast at 08:00 and noone was late for it (for a change!).
After breakfast everyone seemed to be lazy, so Božo and Iga took us outside where we had an energizer - we had to run at a person we picked. It was the time for the workshop called Identity. Iga and Božo asked us some questions about identity and we had to answer by where we found ourselves in the numbers from 1 to 10 and we had to explain some of them. It was really nice and everyone enjoyed it. After that, we went to the basement of our dormitory where we watched two movies about Identity. There were many arguments about the movies and everyone was so into the discussion. Then, it was time for lunch and not everyone liked it so most of us went to the supermarket. We had around two hours free time and everyone seemed lazy when we had to meet Tom at the dinning room. It was the time to get to know our new elementary groups. Some of us were dissapointed with them, but everyone got over it after the first elementary meeting. After the elementary groups (now VU Groups) we met Božo and he gave us some hashtags to prepare for the International Youth Day. We had more than an hour to prepare ourselves for it and to present our work. In the eveninng the Teamers told us that we were going to be teamers and lead workshops so everyone found their friends and created their workshop groups. That’s it from us today!

You're under arrest! Reunion Day #2

Our second day started with the teamers waking us up (not something we had missed...) This time, it wasLjubiša with his special dog toy - don't ask. The night extremely hot, so we were surprised to find hot tea on our breakfast table. We started our programme with an orientation hike in which we visited the shop, the changing office and finally the swimming pool. We used the opportunity to jump into the water and get some refreshment. After that we returned to the dormitory and had our lunch. Afterwards, the police came. They arrested all of us and took us to the police station, where they had to registrate us. After we came back from prison, we were to discuss and agree on our camp rules, which, as usual, includes the fmaous ''Bora Bora'' rule (that nobody seems to be respecting as strictly - and nobody seems to care!) When that was done with, we had our next workshop, called ''Get into my shoes'', in which we had to tell a person we don't know that well what we honestly think about him or her (some were a bit too honest...) After that, we enjoyed our dinner. The day ended with two videos and a discussion about social media and our relationship with it. 10.8.2017.

Long time no see... Reunion Day #1

After a long time...

Hey, guys! Hope you've missed us, cause if you did - this is definitely your lucky day. After a whole year it was finally time for us to get reunited. Sadly some of us couldnt make it. Anyway we will make sure they are part of our everyday activities and of course our memories. So today was our first day! The first to arrive was the Bosnian team hosted by the Croatian participants. The Albanian and Montenegrin team met in Podgorica, and after 18 hours of traveling they met the German team, and together with the Serbian team arrived in the "Student Dormitory" in Vukovar. We waited for the Polish team so we could finally all be together. Božo, Tom and Marija introduced us to the new teamers, Iga from Poland, Ljubiša from BiH and Nikola from Montenegro. After the long trips and the high temperatures, we were very exhausted - but that was no reason for us to skip pool time! We went to our rooms and  changed into our swimming suits, and together with Tom, Ljubiša and Iga we went to the local pool near the dormitory. We had a lot of playing ball games and splashing water around. As we are known to always be hungry we got so excited for dinner time. We finished our spaghetti Bolognese and then all went out to play name games with Iga and Marija for the new teamers to get to know us. Even though we know each other very well now we still messed everything up and it was so funny and we had an amazing time. As much as we were enjoying our time, at some point we just fell asleep around the lounge. It was an unforgettable first day. We had fun, we played games, but most importantly - we were really happy that we were reunited after being apart for such a long time. We know that just like us you are looking forward into our journey so we promise that from now on you'll hear from us everyday. See you tomorrow💋
