One year anniversary! Day #13

It’s been exactly 1 year since we have ended our first Campus 15 adventure, and many will agree that this day was the best day of both Campus 15 aswell as the reunion. We knew that we were going to Osijek later this day, and it got everyone as hyped as possible. First, after the breakfast which was so mild and average I cannot even remember it at this point, we have visited the Centre for people with mental disabilities here in Vukovar. Given that none of us really had any experience with such persons whatsoever, it was a new and a somewhat eye-opening experience to say the least. The people there were coming from very different backgrounds, were of very different age, and all had different problems, problems that made us appreciate and be grateful to the fact we don’t have them, aswell as making us grow respect for those people who are fighting their own battles each and every day. They were pretty interesting and fun to hang out with aswell, and we made some decoupage and played sports with them.
After the lunch most of us were not amazed with to say the least, the ‘’field trip’’ could begin! At first, we went to the Evangelistic faculty in Osijek, where we have had a presentation about Civil education, education in general, aswell as its importance in today’s world.

When that was done with, we had a couple of hours of free time, which we can say were used in a highly effective way. Most uf us had a lot of fun, some went shopping, go-kart, visiting Osijek’s famous places etc. After amazing time we spent together, we went to the restaurant in village near Osijek called Dalj. We had a great meal and we enjoyed our time there.

Rainy day… Day #12

The weather was cold, and as much as we thought it would be cosier, it wasn't . The rain changed our plan of visiting Park - Forest Adica so we stayed in the dormitory. Most of our morning we spent in free time. Ljubisa and Domagoj made it more fun ith the idea of filming each of us talking about the camp. We have never experienced film -making while it was raining. We were afraid of stepping in front of the camera so we don' t actually remember what we said. We think it will be funnier after some time. Our afternoon was special because some participants got the opportunity to be teamers for the rest of the day. They had to plan our time and fil it with the programme of their own. Our first workshop was about motivation and fears. As many of us requested , we had  a lot of free time. They placed us in our last year's element groups where we had small talks. Our day finished with movie night.  Sone of us used it as sleeping time and some for relaxation . Our mini teamers had only 1 and a half our to think of the programme so we were really pleased with an awesome work they had done.  Although many of us expected that rain will ruin our sunday it didn't. We got refreshment and an amazing day to write about. More from us in the following days!

Social project. Day #11

It was finally the day for us to start our social project. We didn't know what exactly we were going to do, so we were all excited and ready for new challenges. After breakfast, teamers informed us about trip to Adica - a nearby forest where we planned to do some voluntary work.
When we came there, we found out that we had to do several tasks. They split us into 3 different groups - environmental cleaning, painting and sandpaper cleaning.  At the beginning not all of us agreed to do the job that we were supposed to do, but very soon we all found out that you can find something satisfying in every single job. The time there passed quickly . We couldn't wait to come back home and rest for a little. We had great time there - the weather was great, the company even better and we all did something useful. We came back to the dormitory for our dinner. After dinner, new program was waiting for us. One of the hotel concept workshops was disco night. We had a lot of fun while dancing and singing and we can't wait for the next party.

The voluntary work is the best kind of work! Day #10

Hello everybody and welcome to our 10th day of Reunion 2017!
The day started so early when the teamers woke us up at 7:40 so everyone would be on time for the breakfast. After breakfast the teamers told us to wear comfortable shoes because we had to walk to the place where we were going. At 9.00 everyone was ready and we started our “journey” . We went to a place near the Danube river. Then Boźo explained to us that in that place has been the generation of 2013 of Campus15 and everyone felt so excited to be there. There we found some signs like Campus15's and European Union flag. Our task was to clean up that place because there was so dirty and you barely could see the paintings on the walls. The teamers gave us brushes and shovels so it would be easier for us to complete our task. When we were done the place looked like it was reborned and Boźo and Iga thanked us for the job that we did as they were the participants of the Reunion of 2013. After it, we looked so tired so the teamers gave us free time so we could take a shower and relax. In the evening, after dinner we took a group photo and after it we had Do It Yourself groups, which was the last DIY meeting .That’s it from us today!

Back in time - Day #8

Today we had a captivating and educative day. After spending a whole week in the beautiful city of Vukovar it was about time we learn about the hard times it went through.
At first we visited "The memorial center of 90's war". There we were welcomed by a major who also showed us around. He took us to an improvised minefield. We had the opportunity to see all kinds of mines that are used during war. Sadly some of them can still be found around so we learned about the importance of knowing how to stay safe. Continuing our visit we were fascinated from the old airplanes, ships, automobiles and tanks. The best part was that most of them were handmade from the people of Croatia with the materials they could find. Luckily we were allowed to take pictures inside so we can save the memories forever.
Next we entered the musem called "The Day After" . It was filled with pictures of wounded soldiers. They were really painful and some of us couldn't help the tears. That was a powerful message that showed that wars leave scars that last for a long time. From the musem we went down to a basement that was filled with objects belonging to the people who faught in the war and also different kinds of homemade weapons, old pictures and stories. It felt like a piece of the past was in front of our eyes.
Right after that we went to  the memorial site Ovčara. It was a memorial for the 261 persons who were killed and tortured. Their pictures were all over the walls and they faded and brightened with time to symbolize that they are gone but live in memories. In the middle of the room there was a spiral with the victims names that went to an eternal light. It was a touching experience for all of us.

When lunch time came we went to Adica. We had an amazing lunch under the shadow of the trees and spending out free time around the forest.

Reliving the history - Day #4

After 5 days of unbearable heat we have finally woken up with temperature under 30 degrees. International Youth Day was a great time to present our work and things we do in the camp. We decided that we will celebrate it in the Public Library in Vukovar. We had headed to the public bus to go to city centre. We arrived to the Library where the librarian and the mister from local government welcomed us. We prepared a  live program for campus15 Facebook page. Hashtags were once more our main focus point. After that Sladjana gave us a task- treasure hunt including photos of famous places in the city. We had several groups and every one of us was in charge for taking a selfie in front of landmarks. Our prize was our lunch next to Danube.  It was a nice change to finally bbe outside and enjoy the sound of breeze . As another task we had an energizer with teamer Luka. Being ninjas kept us starving for 30 minutes. After great view and good lunch we went to the  City museum of Vukovar. We saw that we are going to have great time because of an amazing tour guide. He allowed us to go wherever we want tbased on our interests so everyone found something for themselves. Before entering the museum we passed the hallway and our tour guide gave  us an idea to sit for a little while and talk about things that we are really interested in. There was a big piano in the corner of the room so Fabian decided to play it and show us what he knows. Even though we liked the cold weather, the storm was coming so we decided to come back to dormitory. We spent the rest of afternoon playing game (ne znam kako se ta igra tocno zvala) with Luka thinking about how not to kill innocent villagers. Our day ended with Ljubiša's workshop - talking about apocalypse survival. We were really tired after this long day so we all went to sleep right after our program.

Play day? Reunion Day #9

We all agreed, that today was one of the best days of the reunion so far. It all started with pizza for breakfast (some found it great, some found it...). A discussion of the Camp treaty followed. After that, we had to get ready for our trip to an island on Danube. We took the bus to Vukovar and went on to buy different stuff there, such as ice-cream or food. After half an hour that we had for shopping, we took the bus to the river side and from there we had to travel to the island by boat.

While reaching the island we all felt like in paradise; sand everywhere, trees making a shade, a bar and most importantly - a beach volleyball field. Before we ate lunch, we had a presentation of national food which we all preferred over the lunch. In the evening, we all had to leave the island again with boats, happy and in a good mood. We reached the dormitory for dinner and after the dinner we had element groups, and in the end of the day a great movie most if us sadly slept through, but as a person who didn't I can say the movie was awesome. All in all a great day!
